Each lesson I plan involves a variety of different resources. Some of the resources I used have included literature, manipulatives, powerpoints, document cameras, videos, individual white boards, pictures, computers, websites, blogs, newspapers, magazines, text books, and political cartoons.

Many of my lessons have incorporated technology such as PowerPoint presentations or videos. I have found that the children of this generation are very visual learners, perhaps because of the amount of technology they have access to at home. Using technology has been a way to vary my teaching methods, use creativity, and keep my lessons engaging. It also has allowed me to relate to their cultural needs.

I have included several examples of resources I have created to use with my lessons. These include videos and PowerPoints. To view the PowerPoints, click on the picture.

"Renee has established a positive work environment for her students.  She is consistent, fair and tolerant with all students. She varies her approach to teaching; using visuals, technology, group work and more.  Ms. Adair has been successful in maintaining order in a classroom that is too small for 29 students and making the best of a situation of overcrowding.  She has worked to use the space available to its best potential".  -Sue Coyne, Cooperating Teacher
